HP and Amrita have announced the signing of an MoU to pursue a joint ‘go to market’ strategy to penetrate the healthcare sector in India. Amrita and HP will offer a complete range of IT services including domain specific solutions for healthcare organisations. Hospital Information System (HIS)

According to Biswanath Bhattacharya, director sales, public sector segment, HP India: “The partnership with Amrita is a key element in our strategy to identify growth opportunities in the healthcare segment in India. Commenting on the MOU, Indramohan Sahadevan from Amrita said: “There is a growing need for healthcare delivery networks to have an integrated system which fulfills all their requirements. Its our firm belief that the Amrita HIS and HP solutions will together bring a unique value proposition for Indian healthcare industry.”
The Hospital Information System (HIS) from Amrita known as Amrita HIS is based on the patent-pending HMOS (Healthcare Management Operating System) framework. This enables Amrita HIS to be very cost effective yet provide the complete functional needs of a hospital. The Amrita Hospital Information System manages all the patient information from patient registration to discharge. The various sub-modules, seamlessly integrated, cover all the hospital transactions related to the patients.
